Happy Black Friday!

  • Happy Black Friday!
  • Nothing like a little fog when the sun is coming up to accent the kiss of the rays. This was taken on this morning's dog walk. Blackberry's are kind of a neusance plant around here along with the blackberry pie and cobler
  • Another sun ray picture from yesterday while walking the dogs.
  • Back to work tomorrow after a sooooo wonderful four days off to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • Had time to stop after work, on the way home, and get some shots of the sun going down. Tomorrow's forcast is for rain throught the rest of the week. Happy Hump Day Tomorrow!!!
  • Delights from the dark side
  • And I thought I had to pack alot of crap around being a photographer.
  • Have a fantastic weekend!
  • Work inspired by 500px's Caras Ionut. This is a composition of three different images. Caras offers tutorials on his amazing work from which I have learned so much. Check him out.
  • Chilly cold at the Des Moines Washington marina. Touch of white on the boats and the docks. Decided to shoot with my nifty fifty @ f/20 for the star effects. Cheapest and smallest lens, go figure. Talk about bang for the buck in certain situations. Feel sorry for the poor soul in the sail boat with the string of lights that went out "way up there". Murphy's Law. Didn't put up lights this year just to piss Murphy off. Wisdome comes with age. :)

  • My poor Rhodesian Ridgeback. Cat's used to make her just shake with uncontrollable excitement. Then when Sassy moved in with her two cats that was no longer acceptable behavior. We all must submit sometime I guess.
  • Me and Sassy taking in the HOH rainforest at the Olympic National Park in Washington.
  • May the weekend be like a vist to Vegas and the slots are payin'!
  • Sassy and I went to the game reserve today braving intermetent showers. I drug along a bunch of glass including my 300mm with a 1.4 teleconverter on my D300. I also had my D700 mounted with a 70-200 in a bag with a cople other lenses in tow also. A real boy scout I figured....prepared. Got some wildlife shots with the big lens but I'm kind of a landscape kind of guy so I wound up porcessing this and a couple other landscape shots this afternoon. Started out with a hand held bracketed collection of seven shots and then ran them through Photomatix. Not disappointed at all for not throwing my camera on the tripod. Then I opened it up in Photoshop CS6 and did some editing with the oilpaint filter and lighting effects. Opened it up back in lightroom and did some more adjusting with the painbrush tool, dodging, burning, sharpening and then added a little vignette.
  • Had my 300mm 2.8 with a 1.4 teleconverter and this is what I take pictures of. Loved the yellow color, thinkin' yeah spring is just around the corner.
  • One can miss out on the new day beginning hanging on to the past. Ah but I'm just lamenting the end of the weekend.
  • Dedicated to Washington states new legalize marijuana law.
