  • Puget Sound driftwood one October morning in Des Moines WA. Fall and winter can look rather gloomy in the PNW if you don't have the right attitude. One has to love jackets and rain gear. Get out in it. :)
  • Amazing what one discovers being detail oriented while processing. Happy Hump Day tomorrow!

  • Made it down to the beach for the sunset. This was taken on the day the world was supposed to come to an end according to some folks. Couldn't have been a more beautiful December afternoon with the sun low on the horizon and the Olympic Mt range covered in snow. Enjoy the holiday season. Merry Christmas!
  • For all you Photomatix HDR enthusiasts out there, Photomatix has a new upgrade to download that just rocks in my opinion. Downloaded and installed it tonight and am now wanting to go back and reprocess my HDR's. This is one from the past that I was really impressed with the new results. And for free. The price is right. Here comes Monday! Have a fantastic week ahead!
  • Another shot of the twin barns at Nisqually Game Reserve from our outing yesterday afternoon. It's a good thing we went yesterday because today the weather was crap. Good for getting grocery shopping done and other stuff done around the house. Have a fantastic week ahead. Tomorrow's that dreaded day for us M-F working folk. Weekends are always too short.
  • Because I always have a camer with me I was able to capture the Des Moines, WA January Regatta. One of those driving by ...damn look at that, experiences. Not the sharpest lens in my bag but it was on the camera I had with me.
  • Nothing more beautiful than the setting sun on a work week and the wings of the weekend bird in full view.
  • OMG found myself down town Seattle today! Braving the trip down I-5 from Des Moines, home sweet home and learning how to work the new parking meters to my expense, I decided since I was down there, I should document my harrowing experience. This image is from a hand held 7 exposure run through the new photomatix and lots of other processing in Photoshop CS6 not to mention a couple other plug-in's.
  • One of the attractions that I wanted to take in while I found myself downtown Seattle was the new big wheel. I didn't go for a ride. I'll save that for sometime Sassy and I are down there together. Took this shot with my 17-35mm wide angle. Lots of distortion that I managed to work out in Photoshop CS6's wide angle filter. Thank God Monday's over. It's all down hill from here. :)
  • Seattle water front. Hard to imagine all this steel and bricks on top of old wood pilings, on the Seattle water front.

  • I never had an appreciation for the blue hour until I got into photography. No I can see it without the camera.
